Short biography

Born in Alsfeld, 2013-2017 studied Sinology and Anglistics at Ruhr-Universität Bochum (B.A.). 2014 Chinese course at Tongji University of Shanghai, 2015 exchange semester at City University of Hong Kong. 2016-2017 member of the student association of the Faculty of East Asian Studies, since 2017 student assistant in the Department of History and Philosophy of China; Bachelor thesis on the development of a Chinese Socialist Realism within the propaganda posters of the 1950s. Since 2017 student of the master's degree programme in East Asian Studies at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Assistance in cataloguing Chinese propaganda posters for the International Institute of Social History in Amsterdam. Research assistant since September 2018. Completion of the Master's degree programme in East Asian Studies in June 2021 with a thesis on Chinese propaganda posters during the changes in the publication industry from the Republican Period to the early People's Republic of China. Beginning of a dissertation project on modern Chinese music in the Republican period in Mai 2022.
