The Japan Science Days took place at Ruhr University from 5 to 7 July 2018. The aim was to establish new contacts with Japanese partner universities and cooperation partners and to strengthen existing ones. The Japanese Studies (Prof. Dr. Sven Osterkamp, Prof. Dr. Katja Schmidtpott) and the Chinese Studies (Prof. Dr. Moll-Murata) took part by inviting guest researchers from the University of Tokyo and giving their own lectures. The programme of the specially organised workshop as part of the Japan Science Days can be found here under "Digital Humanities and Historical Research on East Asia".
