Blaue Reihe [Blue Series]

The Faculty of East Asian Studies has been publishing the series Veröffentlichungen des Ostasieninstituts der Ruhr-Universität Bochum (VOAI) since 1968. The VOAI, known internally as the »Blaue Reihe [Blue Series]« because of its dark blue cover, has published monographs and anthologies on East Asian Studies topics ever since. The Acta Sieboldiana, in which studies on the Bochum Sieboldiana Collection are published, are integrated into the Blaue Reihe. To date, the VOAI comprises over 60 publications, and two new volumes are usually published each year.

Authors can apply to have a publication included in the Blaue Reihe. To do so, please contact a chair holder in our faculty. Those already holding a doctorate can also contact the editors directly. This is currently in the responsibilty of Christine Moll-Murata.
